Saint Philibert Abbey in Tournus

Faced with the Norman enemy, the monks who had fled Noirmoutier, came to build the abbey of Tournus in order to hide the relics of their holy founder Philibert. It is a remarkable testimony of the 1st Romanesque art. Its interior dimensions are impressive! The visit continues with the chapel of Saint Michael and a crypt which, in itself, is worth a visit.
