Hospices de Beaune

The civil hospices of Beaune were born in 1443 following the decision of Nicolas Rolin and Guigone de Salins to build a hospital; this is how the hôtel-dieu was born. During the visit, you will discover the old wards and their different attributions. There are also pictorial masterpieces, a legacy left by the two founders who were great patrons. Tapestries and chests (from the 15th to the 17th century) as well as paintings (from the 17th century) are also exhibited in great number thanks to generous donors of the time.
