Ponds and wash houses circuit
Anxious to preserve and enhance its heritage, the Commune of Simandre has created the “Discovery and Interpretation Trail of Ponds and Washhouses”. Six washhouses (Eschenaux, les Gouilles, le Molard, Letrey, les Bassoyons and le Trésoir) have been completely renovated and eight ponds, selected for their appearance, fauna and flora, have been improved by pond greenhouses. This rehabilitation program is supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Circuit through the hamlets
The Simandre Greenways consist of five hiking trails (minimum 3.8 km, maximum 10 km) that wind through the various hamlets of Simandre, allowing hikers to admire the town’s historic buildings and heritage. With a total of 44 km of trails to explore, the area’s flora and fauna are prized for their peace and tranquility.
